Raising Confident Children – Parent Workshop
Confidence is the greatest skill we can teach our children. It’s a better predictor of success later in life than academic ability, yet it seems to difficult to teach. Some children seem to have confidence in abundance, whilst others seem to struggle with even the basics of looking people in eye, putting their hand up in class, standing up for themselves with friends, doing things independently, or pushing themselves out of their comfort zone, rather than simply saying ‘no’ for fear they’ll fail. It can really pull at our hearts to see our children struggle or simply refuse to take part in something we know they’d love, if they could just find the courage to try.
This is a hands-on workshop where Dr Maryhan will share her top strategies for promoting confidence in children and the help you apply these with your individual child. You’ll leave with three tasks to get you started right away as well as resource book to dip in and out of when you need to.
